I can’t remember a time when I did not love animals or fashion. Ever since I was a little girl, I had pets. My first dog “Princy” became our dog because when I was 6, I was playing in Central Park when I saw a cute white dog. I went to pet him and his owner told me she was moving to England and could not keep him. Well, I started crying and before I knew it, I refused to leave the park without that dog. I caused such a stink everyone involved had no choice but to let the lady give him to me. I always wanted to help ANY animal in need… even in the face of my own danger.

Since then, I have nursed birds that have fallen from their nests, released baby turtles into the wild, fostered multiple dogs, alerted wildlife specialist when I see an injured animal I can’t approach etc… most of the time wearing 6 inch heels (although I have been known to wear a sophisticated flat)!

As you can imagine when I learned that MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of dogs and cats get euthanized every year in the United States I thought, I have to do something about this. I respect life, and I believe that all creatures have the right to be treated with respect and compassion.
